Scam Alert: This "Review" Site Will STEAL Your Information
Saw this on TikTok and it even almost got ME
Beware: ReviewNowUs
This will be a quick newsletter because I just wanted to get this out to you guys quickly before you see this website on TikTok somewhere and fall for it.
The website is called ReviewNowUs, and it’s all over “SideHustleTok” right now.
As you can see, it’s a website that promises to pay you to listen to Spotify songs. Don’t do it!
Why It’s a Scam:
As of the time of me writing this, the domain is only two days old
Not only is the website literally two days old, but it’s not affiliated with Spotify at all; a quick Google Search will show you that.
The only thing that comes up really is the TikTok video that I was mentioning earlier. Nothing about it being affiliated with Spotify at all.
Not to mention, it has that little notification at the corner saying “So and so just made $100 from reviewing a song” that pops up every couple of seconds. The website is two days old, not affiliated with Spotify with no one talking about it except for one TikTok video. Yeah, pretty sure “Eleanor from Florida” didn’t just make money a minute ago. “Verified by Spotify”…WHERE?!
Conclusion
The only thing this website is doing is collecting data from you so they can sell it to marketing campaigns; send you spammy emails and trying to get you to install something malicious. As the old saying goes: if it’s too good to be true, it probably is.
Sorry I haven’t been posting at all; I’ve had a lot going on in my personal life with trying to find employment. It’s been hard out here, but I’m trying. I will continue to try my best to bring you all useful content.
